RA-Search is a tool which helps ASME Code users understand Code changes, new technical provisions
and interpretations of Code requirements. Important changes are identified as well as new and
deleted Code Cases. When Code Cases are incorporated into the Code, comments identify which paragraphs
contain the provisions. The software
contains three sets of information:
|
-
RA-Search Interpretations
This database contains all Interpretations that have been published by
the ASME.
-
RA-Search Revisions
This database contains a commentary
by Reedy Engineering to help users understand the changes
made to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Sections I through XII)
from 1952 to the present. Guidance
is also provided for Code Cases from
1962 to the present. Where possible,
it is identified when and where the
provisions of these Cases were incorporated into the ASME Code. This database
also contains comments on the changes made to the ASME V31.1 and B31.3 Piping Codes.
-
PDF Files
Further, the software contains the history of the ASME Code from 1915 to 1952, which was
written by Mr. Arthur M. Greene and published by the ASME; ASME Code Commentaries for Section III and Section VIII,
Division 2; as well as about 30 other publications of interest to ASME Code users.
The databases can be quickly searched by word, phrase, paragraph number,
Addenda
year or Code Section. One search or
inquiry will disclose all hits in both
"Revisions" and "Interpretations."
In addition, corrected and modified
Interpretations are displayed alongside
the original. In contrast, looking for
an Interpretation in the ASME Code Books
can take hours and the search
may not be complete.
