Why do I receive the flange notification
"NOTE: Suitable low temperature bolting
material is required"? What does it mean?

Answer:

COMPRESS rates each component for its coldest
possible MDMT per UCS-66, UHA-51, etc. Standard
ASME B16.5 and B16.47 flanges are rated in this
same manner. If the resulting temperature is
below −20°, the alert is displayed
indicating the flange rated temperatures are
valid only if "low temperature" bolting
material is used as defined in Note 10 to
Table 1B of these standards.
This alert is meant to notify the user for
informational purposes only. It is not meant
to indicate violation of any requirements. It
is up to the designer to make sure requirements
are satisfied.
