Question:
|
How do I change the joint efficiency in the COMPRESS calculations?
|
|
Answer:
|
COMPRESS applies the rules of paragraphs UW-11 and UW-12 to determine the joint efficiency for buttwelds based on the
selected radiography for each component.
It is best to let COMPRESS determine the joint efficiency based on the rules that are built into the program.
However, the need to specify a particular joint efficiency may arise.
The User-Defined option in
COMPRESS accommodates for this. Select
User Defined from the radiography
selection list and new fields will
appear where a joint efficiency and
description may be entered.
