Question:

The COMPRESS database does not contain the bolt
size I need for my flange (or for skirt base ring,
etc). How do I add bolts to the database?

Answer:
|
The COMPRESS bolt database contains bolts listed
in common bolting standards. Other bolt sizes/types
can be added as a user-defined bolt.
To add a user-defined bolt:

Select Materials
> Bolts.
The Edit Bolt Sizes
dialog will then be displayed.

Click the "Series 8"
button or the "Coarse"
button to indicate the thread type.
Click the "Metric"
button if the bolt is metric.

Click the "New"
button. The data fields will be unlocked.
Enter the bolt data into the fields and
click the "Commit"
button. Close the dialog when finished. The new bolt
will be retained in the database for use
on other files as well.
