  • Program crash - Closing Tube layout print preview
    When a tube layout print preview window was closed by clicking the X button on the right-hand top corner of the window, COMPRESS crashed. The print preview window should be closed by clicking the CLOSE button. The X button is no longer enabled for this window. [46]

  • Tie-rod or dummy tube outside shell
    If you add a tie-rod or dummy tube inside the shell, then try to add second one outside the shell, you get a warning message, but as soon as you click on OK, the program crashes. This is now corrected and the warning message is always presented when a tie-rod or dummy tube is added outside shell. [43]

    • AutoCAD DXF and DWG Export scale
      The tube layout is now exported to DXF or DWG format on a 1:1 scale. [32]

    • Baffles design link with COMPRESS Heat Exchanger.
      COMPRESS Heat Exchanger now provides detail design for baffles. Baffles designed in Tube Layout can be linked to the COMPRESS Heat Exchanger and vice versa. [12]

    • Double segmented baffle calculations
      Baffle calculations for a double segmented baffle defined by % of Shell ID were not being refreshed when the "No Tubes in Window" option is selected. The cut distance L2 was not refreshed in this circumstance. [34]

    • Program termination reporting
      A feature has been added to enable reporting the state of Tube Layout Program when a crash occurs. This feature creates a crash report and allows the user to email it to Codeware for problem resolution. This is useful for those cases where the crash is operating system related as it is often not possible reproduce these types of crashes otherwise. [27]

    • Online update through a proxy server.
      The TLP online update feature did not work for those cases where the internet connection was made via a proxy server. A new option has been added to the Settings\Updates dialog that configures the proxy server to allow updates to be retrieved from the Codeware on line update server. To configure the proxy server:

      1) Click on the View menu, select Settings\ Updates and then click on the "Configure Internet Connection Settings" button.

      2) Click "Use proxy server for HTTP" and enter the appropriate address and port.

      3) For some network set-ups you may need to enter your user name and password as well.

      Note that you may need to contact your system administrator for the required proxy server information. [28]

    • Online update feature available
      An online update facility has been added to TLP. The following features have been included:

      1) If an internet connection is available, TLP now automatically checks for available updates when starting.

      2)An online TLPHistory.html file that documents changes, organized by program build is available.

      3) Downloads only the needed files to minimize download time.

      4) Provides an administrator over-ride for organizations that wish to disable the online update.

      5) Checks the hardware key to make sure that the latest build will run before downloading updates. [25]

    • Cleaning Lanes design available
      Tube layout program now has a cleaning lanes option that will automatically place the tubes such that there is a clear path through the bundle to facilitate cleaning the exterior tube surfaces. [17]
