The INSPECT Workflow
- Model your equipment. To do this, users can either load an existing COMPRESS File or model the equipment directly in INSPECT. Equipment can be grouped in process loops for higher-level analysis.
- Place Condition Monitoring Locations (CMLs) on your models. INSPECT can position CMLs automatically based on your company's standard grid configurations or you can manually enter your existing placements. Users have complete control over the number of CMLs placed. For example, CMLs can be placed on only part of a vessel, such as a nozzle, on the entire model or in any required combination.
- Easily record and track historic inspection data. Export inspection grids to hand-held data loggers. Once the inspection is complete, add the inspection data to the INSPECT model using our cut and paste spreadsheet interface. In addition to measured thicknesses, descriptive text and/or image files may be associated with CMLs. Administrator-determined user permissions control vessel and inspection data access, safeguarding your records.
- Generate reports and analyze inspection results. The governing CML is conveniently highlighted on your 3D model. If multiple models have been associated in a process loop, INSPECT identifies the governing CML of the loop. INSPECT also provides the next required inspection date for each piece of equipment and, if applicable, the process as a whole. Remaining life calculations can be run using a short or long term corrosion basis.
